Why Elixir?

Oftentimes in situations concerning health, a team is needed. And not just a team but a group of practitioners who think similarly about health and healing from their own specialties. A group of practitioners who communicate regularly about patients who are utilizing this collaborative team approach. Elixir is a collective, meaning that we strive to work together to support our patients, and each other, in a comprehensive approach to care. The providers at Elixir understand when other modalities of care are needed and how they will complement the treatment process. No healthcare profession has all the answers, but combining them in an intelligent way, when needed, can make drastic differences in health and well being.

Each provider at Elixir is experienced in their respective field and understands when incorporating Naturopathic care, Classical Chinese medicine, Chiropractic, or Massage therapy can help a person reach their health goals in a more efficient way. We work to see all the pieces to each individual health puzzle and utilize the care that will be the most effective in addressing the root cause of illness. While you may never need more than your monthly chiropractic adjustment, occasional relaxing massage, acupuncture tune up, or annual well woman exam we would like for you to rest easily knowing that we have a comprehensive team of professionals ready to serve you, no matter what life throws your way.

Our Services

Naturopathic Medicine

Naturopathic medicine concentrates on whole-patient wellness; the medicine is tailored to the person and emphasizes prevention and self-care. Naturopathic medicine attempts to find the underlying cause of the person’s condition rather than focusing solely on symptomatic approach. Naturopathic doctors cooperate with all other branches of medical science referring clients to other practitioners for diagnosis or treatment when appropriate.

Classical Chinese Medicine

Chinese medicine is a complete system of medicine with its own forms of diagnosis, treatment, prognosis, and therapies. It includes the applications of Acupuncture, Qigong, Asian Bodywork and Manual therapies, Chinese Herbology, and Chinese Nutrition and Lifestyle counseling. Classical Chinese Medicine honors the whole person, their evolution through life, and their connection with the greater movement of the weave of all life.

Chiropractic Care

Chiropractic treatment is a hands-on healing art emphasizing structural corrections to alleviate dysfunction of the nervous system, joints and soft tissues. The literal translation is ‘treatment with the hands’. Chiropractic care is effective because it utilizes the simple truth that in all systems, function is determined by structure. Structural correction is achieved through spinal and extremity adjustments, muscle work, rehabilitative exercises, postural and lifestyle modifications.

Massage Therapy

Massage therapy is the hands on manipulation of the body’s soft tissues, for the purpose of normalizing those tissues. Touch is used to identify areas of muscle tension and other soft tissue concerns as well as refocusing connection and understanding between the mind and body. Massage techniques can affect the muscular, skeletal, circulatory, lymphatic, nervous, and other systems of the body. Massage therapists aim to embrace the concept of Vis medicatrix naturae, which concentrates on the body’s inherent ability to establish, maintain, and restore health.

What to Expect

Warmth. Care. Genuine Concern.
Your practitioner will perform a comprehensive intake and exam to determine the most beneficial treatment approach for your concerns. Care is a partnership and thus the plan of action to address your concerns will be a shared decision making process. Your treatment plan will be discussed and next steps laid out.

Providing your insurance details (if you are hoping to use insurance) prior to your appointment will help assure you understand the financial aspect of your care prior to the appointment. This helps to prevent any unwanted surprises. Bringing in your completed intake paperwork will help expedite the process and ensure you receive the full time allotted for your appointment.
