Chiropractic
Chiropractic treatment is a hands-on healing art emphasizing structural corrections to alleviate dysfunction of the nervous system, joints and soft tissues. The literal translation is ‘treatment with the hands’. Chiropractic care is effective because it utilizes the simple truth that in all systems, function is determined by structure. Structural correction is achieved through spinal and extremity adjustments, muscle work, rehabilitative exercises, postural and lifestyle modifications. By eliminating abnormalities and balancing the structure of the human body, healthy function is a result.

The Chiropractic Process
-
Most people find their way to our office because they have pain. Whether you have acute pain from a recent injury, or suffer from chronic or recurrent pain, getting rid of the hurt is our first concern. We offer a wide variety of conservative chiropractic treatments to help get you out of pain as soon as possible, all without the use of drugs or surgery.
-
When your pain begins to subside, we will assess how well you move. Acute injuries can alter the way that we use our bodies. If these alterations are left uncorrected, they can lead to chronic or recurrent pain, or even future re-injury. Faulty movement patterns, muscular imbalances, and poor posture are often the underlying cause of the aches and pains people suffer from day to day. By identifying and correcting your range of motion and motor control issues, we can get you out of pain and keep you out of pain.
-
Throughout your treatment course you will likely be given therapeutic home exercises which are specific to your needs. These exercises should help you address the root cause of your pain. Some patients choose to maintain ongoing care at the clinic. We believe that regular attention to your joints and muscles is crucial to staying healthy and active. We are happy to offer maintenance treatments to those who feel the same, to keep you moving well, and living well.
