Chiropractic treatment is a hands-on healing art emphasizing structural corrections to alleviate dysfunction of the nervous system, joints and soft tissues. The literal translation is ‘treatment with the hands’. Chiropractic care is effective because it utilizes the simple truth that in all systems, function is determined by structure. Structural correction is achieved through spinal and extremity adjustments, muscle work, rehabilitative exercises, postural and lifestyle modifications. By eliminating abnormalities and balancing the structure of the human body, healthy function is a result.

When your pain begins to subside, we will assess how well you move. Acute injuries can alter the way that we use our bodies. If these alterations are left uncorrected, they can lead to chronic or recurrent pain, or even future re-injury. Faulty movement patterns, muscular imbalances, and poor posture are often the underlying cause of the aches and pains people suffer from day to day. By identifying and correcting your range of motion and motor control issues, we can get you out of pain and keep you out of pain.

Maintain Healthy Function with Chiropractic Work

Throughout your treatment course you will be given therapeutic home exercises which are specific to your needs. These exercises should help you address the root cause of your pain. Some patients choose to maintain ongoing care at the clinic. We believe that regular attention to your joints and muscles is crucial to staying healthy and active. We are happy to offer maintenance treatments to those who feel the same, to keep you moving well, and living well.

What to Expect

First Appointment

At your first chiropractic visit, Dr. Aislinn will take a detailed history of your primary health concern as well as review any other medical conditions you may have. After taking your history, she’ll perform a thorough examination of your nervous system, muscles, bones and joints to determine the cause of your problem. An initial treatment will be provided if it’s deemed appropriate. Should you require additional tests, such as x-rays, advanced imaging or labs, we will ensure that you are referred to one of our nearby imaging or laboratory partners. If we suspect you have a serious condition that we cannot appropriately treat, we’ll give you the proper referral to a well-qualified specialist.

Ongoing Chiropractic Care

On your 2nd chiropractic visit, Dr. Aislinn will review the findings from your first visit and recommend a treatment plan specific to you. This treatment plan will detail what types of therapy you can expect to receive during your ongoing visits. . Our commitment to getting you back to your active lifestyle is vital, however, what is essential for your personal lasting health is your willingness to take action and remain dedicated to your individual wellness. Participating in the treatment protocol and following through with exercises, dietary recommendations and supplemental resources is how healing becomes health. While the number and types of treatments we outline are what we feel is best for you, the care you receive is ultimately in your hands. As your condition improves, we may modify your treatment plan, make new recommendations, or release you from our care. It’s all up to how you feel.
