Ketamine Assisted Therapy Program

A ground-breaking nervous system reset, designed for lasting change

The Ketamine Assisted Therapy Program at Elixir is a medically supervised, therapeutically supported program for adults experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma-related symptoms, and emotional disconnection, particularly when insight and conventional treatment have not created sufficient change.

Expert led preparation and integration sessions help participants approach the experience intentionally and translate insights into meaningful, sustainable action.

This isn't just a treatment; it's a guided journey designed to empower you with tools for sustainable well-being.

Is this right for me?

You've done the work. Therapy. Medication. Trying to think your way out of it, or push through it, or simply wait it out. And still, the depression lingers. The anxiety hums underneath everything. The trauma finds its way back in, even years later.

This program is designed for those who:

✔️ Have tried other treatments for burnout, depression, anxiety, or PTSD without lasting relief
✔️ Feel stuck in patterns of overdrive, disconnection, or old pain that hasn't released its grip
✔️ Are ready for a different kind of path that's medically guided, but built around their own pace and goals

That's why we created this Ketamine Assisted Therapy (KAT) Program. Our dedicated team is ready to walk alongside you into this next phase of your journey.

Let's rewrite your story, together.

Meet Elixir's KAT Director: Nina Hersher

Nina is a Master of Social Work (MSW), therapist, and Ketamine Assisted Therapy (KAT) Facilitator helping individuals build resilience, regulate their nervous systems, and create lasting change.

Before specializing in KAP, she spent over a decade teaching resilience and stress management workshops at organizations from Spotify to McKesson, and at renowned retreat centers including Omega Institute and Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health.
Her work in mental health has been featured by former U.S. Surgeon General Vivek Murthy as well as in Forbes, The Stanford Social Innovation, and various other publications.

Her approach blends KAT with traditional psychotherapy, nervous system regulation, somatic practices, positive psychology, and neuroscience. By leveraging the brain's increased capacity for neuroplasticity with KAT, Nina helps clients move beyond patterns that talk therapy alone often struggles to shift, supporting deeper healing and sustainable transformation.

Nina specializes in working with adults who feel overwhelmed, anxious, burned out, or stuck in survival mode. Many of her clients are high achievers, caregivers, and professionals navigating chronic stress, trauma, burnout, or major life transitions in today's fast-paced, digitally connected world.

.Nina would be delighted to connect about your treatment goals.

A Journey Guided by Care

Each Ketamine-Assisted Therapy session at Elixir is a carefully orchestrated experience designed for your safety, comfort, and profound insight.

We don't believe in one-size-fits-all timelines because we know healing doesn't happen on a schedule. It happens in its own time, at its own pace.

That's why your Ketamine Assisted Therapy Program is built around you: your goals, your nervous system, your life. Together with your medical provider, you'll determine what your path looks like.

We recommend 3+ ketamine sessions, based on your needs and your provider's clinical recommendation. Sessions may be as close as one day apart for those ready to move quickly, or weeks apart, for those who want more time to integrate and reflect between sessions.

There is no single right way to do this. There's only the way that's right for you.

How it Works

1. Medical Screening & Labs

Your safety comes first. We start by getting to know you — your history, your health, and what's brought you here. Screening labs ensure ketamine-assisted therapy is an appropriate and safe path for your body and your health history. *Our clinic accepts labs from the past 3 months ordered by another physician, such as your primary care doctor.

2. Preparation Sessions

Before any ketamine session, you'll meet with your provider twice to get clear on your goals and intentions. These sessions aren't a formality, they're where the real groundwork begins to make the most of this medicine. We'll help you understand what to expect, and help you arrive at your first session grounded and ready.

3. Ketamine Sessions aka "Journey Days"

Medically supervised and paced according to co-designed treatment plan.

4. Integration Sessions

Every client works with one of our KAT-trained mental health providers during and after treatment. These specialized integration sessions help you process your experience, apply new insights, and create lasting changes that extend long beyond the medicine itself.

Why Ketamine Sessions Take Place In Our Bend Clinic

At Elixir, your safety and the success of your treatment come first. All Ketamine-Assisted Therapy sessions are held in person at our dedicated Bend, Oregon clinic, where we provide a comprehensive, safe, and deeply supportive environment needed for profound personal transformation.

Why Ketamine — and Why This Program

Ketamine is a unique and rapidly acting compound that, in carefully controlled, low-dose therapeutic settings, can offer profound benefits for mental and emotional well-being. Unlike traditional antidepressants that primarily target neurotransmitters like serotonin, ketamine works through different pathways, primarily by affecting the NMDA receptors in the brain.

Ketamine can act as a powerful pattern interrupt by temporarily quieting rigid thought loops and opening new neural pathways. For many people, this creates a rare window of insight, flexibility, and emotional relief.

But here’s what most people aren’t told:

A ketamine experience alone is not enough.

Without support, the brain often returns to its familiar patterns — because that’s what it knows.

At Elixir, ketamine is never a stand-alone experience.

✔️ You are not left alone in a room
✔️ Each session is medically supervised, calm, and intentionally designed
✔️ A trained provider remains present throughout your experience
✔️ And most importantly — the work continues after the ketamine

Before each ketamine session, we begin with intentional preparation and intention setting, helping you clarify what you’re working towards and creating a grounded, safe container for the experience ahead.

We surround the ketamine experience with:

✔️ Integration sessions

✔️ Guided reflection and nervous system support

✔️ Pacing that allows your brain to actually rewire

This comprehensive container gently reinforces the new neural pathways opened during ketamine — so the insights don’t fade, and the change can last.

How to Get Out of Overdrive and into Ease

Why Burnout Isn’t a Mindset Problem—and What Actually Creates a Reset

If you’ve tried resting more, meditating harder, eating “cleaner,” or adding yet another wellness tool—only to feel just as exhausted—you’re not failing. Your nervous system is doing exactly what it learned to do to survive.

In this webinar, Dr. Calley Asbill, ND, explores why so many high-achieving, capable people feel wired but tired, disconnected, irritable, or constantly behind—despite doing “all the right things.”

This isn’t about discipline, productivity, or adding another routine. It’s about understanding what’s happening beneath the surface—and how to create a true physiological reset when the nervous system is stuck in chronic survival mode.

In this session, you’ll learn:

- Why burnout, anxiety, and exhaustion are often nervous system patterns—not mindset issues

- Why routines, meditation, and habits don’t stick when the body doesn’t feel safe

- What a real nervous system reset requires before healing practices can work

- How intentional neuroplasticity can open the door to lasting change

- What daily micro-practices actually support regulation, calm, and resilience

Dr. Asbill also introduces Elixir’s integrative, medical approach to nervous system repair—designed for people who are done pushing through and ready for a new baseline of ease, clarity, and connection.

This webinar is for those who feel something deeper is calling—not more effort, but a different way forward.
